Each quilt size accepts a range of shirt quantities, which is listed on the product page. If you're on the lower end of the recommended range, we'll create additional quilt squares from the shirts you send at no additional charge.

Please send the recommended number of shirts listed on the product page for your selected quilt size.
We strongly encourage sending only the recommended number of shirts for your quilt size. If you'd like to send a few additional shirts to give our designers more options, you're welcome to do so. However, unused shirts cannot be returned, so please only send shirts you're comfortable including in your quilt or parting with.

Our Quilt Kit makes a meaningful gift for birthdays, graduations, weddings, retirements, memorials, baby showers, and many other special occasions.
Since the recipient chooses the shirts they'd like included, you don't need access to their closet to give a truly personal gift.
Additionally our kits ship out quickly, typically 1-3 business days after purchase, so you can give a meaningful gift without months of planning.
We want every Nice Blanket memory quilt to be made from a thoughtfully curated collection of shirts you truly love.
Very large quilts often require customers to include additional "filler" shirts simply to reach the required quantity. By offering carefully designed quilt sizes with flexible shirt ranges, we're able to create quilts that are made from the shirts that truly matter most.

A Swatch Book lets you compare real fabric samples with your shirts before making your final fabric selections. Because colors can appear differently on computer and phone screens, seeing the actual fabrics in person helps you choose backing and binding colors with confidence.
Once your Quilt Kit has been delivered, we’ll send you an email with simple instructions for selecting your backing and binding fabrics directly from your order status page.
There’s no rush to decide. You can update your fabric selections anytime until we receive your shirts and begin making your quilt.
Each Memory Quilt must be ordered separately so every quilt receives its own unique order number.
This helps ensure your shirts remain associated with the correct order throughout the quilting process.
Ordering quilts separately also allows each Quilt Kit and finished quilt to have its own shipping address, making it easy to send gifts directly to family and friends or have multiple quilts shipped to different locations.
Orders can be canceled from your order status page within 24 hours of purchase. Changes can be made until your Quilt Kit ships.

After placing your order, we'll ship your Nice Blanket Quilt Kit.
Once you've selected your shirts, simply place them in the protective bag provided, seal everything inside the prepaid return mailer, and send it back to us. We'll carefully craft your quilt and ship your finished keepsake directly to you.

Signature Memory Quilt Kits also come with shirt side labels you can optionally use when a shirt has graphics on both sides to indicate which side of a shirt you'd like us to include in your quilt.

Please send every shirt exactly as it is. Working with full shirts gives our designers the greatest flexibility when creating your quilt, including our signature shirt border.
We encourage sending clean shirts whenever possible, but it isn't required.
We do not wash shirts after they're received, so your quilt will be created using the shirts in the condition they're sent to us.

Yes.
Depending on the size of the shirts, quilts made entirely from children's clothing may feature 12–13 inch quilt squares instead of our standard 14-inch squares.
We'll always use one consistent square size throughout your quilt and use the largest square size possible, up to 14 inches.
We cannot use infant or toddler sizes in our Signature Memory Quilts.
For Signature Memory Quilts
Yes.
Your Quilt Kit includes optional shirt labels you can use to indicate whether you'd like us to use the front, back, or both sides of a particular shirt. Using these labels is optional and not necessary when shirts have a graphic on only one side.
For Little Memories Quilts
Our designers generally feature the side with the primary graphic or design. Depending upon the number of garments submitted, we may use the front and back of multiple garments in the quilt squares and border.
If one or two shirts are too small for a full 14-inch square, we'll mount those shirt pieces onto another piece of fabric, most often using the back of another shirt you've submitted so your quilt top is made entirely from your shirts whenever possible.
Occasionally, a coordinating fabric may be used if needed.
There is no additional charge for these modifications.
If more than two shirts cannot accommodate a 14-inch square, we'll reduce the square size throughout the quilt so all quilt squares remain consistent.
We do not provide full or partial refunds based on quilt square size or final quilt dimensions.
Yes.
Many of the shirts we receive have been well loved, and that's part of what makes them meaningful. Small stains, fading, or minor wear won't prevent a shirt from being included but these imperfections may appear in your finished quilt.

Little Memories Quilts are available in two sizes and are designed specifically for baby clothes and children's clothing. They feature smaller 6-inch quilt squares arranged in a classic grid and surrounded by a coordinating border, creating a beautiful way to preserve life's earliest memories.

The layout of every quilt is individually designed by our team. Our designers thoughtfully arrange each shirt to create the most balanced and visually appealing finished quilt.
We encourage returning your shirts within one year of your purchase date, as the prepaid shipping label included with your Quilt Kit expires one year after your kit ships.
If your prepaid label has expired, we're happy to provide a replacement mailer and prepaid shipping label. Simply email hello@niceblanket.com and include your order number.
After placing your order, we'll mail you a Quilt Kit that includes a protective bag for your shirts and a prepaid return mailer.
Simply place your shirts in the protective bag, seal it inside the prepaid mailer, and drop it in the mail.
Typically we'll send finished quilts out within 2-3 weeks of receiving your shirts.
